MLEI has successfully bid into the latest DECC Contracts for Difference auction
Cambridgeshire County Council has been successful with a bid into the Contracts for Difference auction, leading to a contract being offered to build a 12 MW solar farm in Soham, northeastern Cambridgeshire. The MLEI bid was one of just 27 renewable electricity projects accepted. The competitive auction has resulted in a significant reduction in construction costs for large solar and wind generation installations in the UK.
"We're delighted to have secured the finance incentive under the first auction under Contracts for Difference. This project will deliver benefits to Cambridgshire County Council residents" said MLEI Project Director, Sheryl French.
Contracts have been offered to a range of companies, including small developers and independent generators, including projects in England, Scotland and Wales.
