We are one step closer to building a 60 acre solar farm on County Council property
On Tuesday, the County Council approved the development of an Investment Grade Proposal for a 12MW solar farm to be built on County property. This brings us one step closer to making this project a reality. If built, the farm would supply nearly 3,000 homes with renewable energy. Planning consent was obtained in October 2014 and a grid connection secured in August 2013. The site beng considered for the solar farm is low-grade agricultural land located in East Cambridgeshire.
